【Introduction of the Project】Located in the Yangtze River’s estuary to the Yellow Sea, Haimen Harbor, serving as the bridgehead connecting Shanghai and the northern district of Jiangsu Province, holds the Yangtze River to the south and looks cross the river to Jiangsu Taicang, boasting convenient traffic and strategic location: 20 minutes away from Nanjing-Qidong Highway, 25 minutes away from Nantong Airport, 90 minutes away from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, 25 minutes away from Nantong Container Terminal, 90 minutes away from Shanghai Harbor, 10 minutes away from Suzhou-Nantong Bridge under construction, and only 5 minutes from Chongming-Haimen Bridge which is to be constructed. Haimen harbor covers a total area of 23sqkm, while another 5,000 mu is planned for industrial use in addition to prophase planned industrial land. Infrastructures like power, water supply, water pipes, communication, etc, are all available in the park. Currently, enterprises such as the biggest domestic cement grinding station-Haimen Conch Cement Liability Ltd, and Haimen-Taicang Auto Ferry leading to Shanghai in service for 24 hours, etc, have nestled down here. In southwest part of Haimen Harbor Industrial Park, a“Golden River Bankline”with a length of over 6km exists here, where 8 docks of 30,000-50,000 tonnage is planned to be constructed, the foreland in front of which, water depth may reach -10 to -14 meters. Now the report of feasibility has passed the examination and check by specialties from the Ministry of Water Resources.
